Polish cities illuminate landmarks in green for Cerebral Palsy Day

Polish cities Gliwice and Gdańsk are participating in awareness campaigns for World Cerebral Palsy Day by illuminating landmarks in green.

In Gliwice, the Radiostacja will be lit green on October 6 to show solidarity with the approximately 17 million people worldwide living with cerebral palsy. The local community will hold a meeting at the Radiostacja, followed by a green-themed football match between Piast Gliwice and Widzew Łódź on October 11, and a charity concert on October 22.

Gdańsk, which has participated in the #17million campaign organized by the Kolorowy Świat Foundation since 2015, will light up the Neptune Fountain, the 'Gdańsk' sign on Ołowianka, and the Kościuszki Street viaduct. The green lights serve as a symbol to highlight the needs, rights, and challenges of those living with cerebral palsy and their families, aiming to combat social exclusion and stereotypes.
