Cerebral Palsy awareness lighting in Poland

Overview

Polish cities Gliwice and Gdańsk are participating in awareness campaigns for World Cerebral Palsy Day by illuminating local landmarks in green.

In Gliwice, the Radiostacja will be lit green on October 6 to show solidarity with the approximately 17 million people worldwide living with cerebral palsy. Local activities include a community meeting, a green-themed football match between Piast Gliwice and Widzew Łódź, and a charity concert.

Gdańsk is participating in the ‘#17million’ campaign, which it has joined since 2015. The city will light the Neptune Fountain, the ‘Gdańsk’ sign on Ołowianka, and the Kościuszki Street viaduct. The green illumination is intended to highlight the rights and challenges of those living with cerebral palsy and to combat social exclusion.
