Polish cities launch free rehabilitation and sensory integration services

Poland is expanding publicly funded health programmes aimed at improving physical and sensory wellbeing. The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy's 2026 "Od zależności ku samodzielności" edition supports the "Siła samodzielności" project, which provides individual sensory‑integration therapy for ten participants on the autism spectrum. Each participant receives ten one‑hour sessions with a dedicated therapist, focusing on sensory processing, motor coordination, balance, body awareness and emotional self‑regulation to boost daily independence.

In the city of Łódź, the municipal "Prosto do sprawności" initiative offers free rehabilitation without referrals for residents with musculoskeletal and muscular conditions. The programme includes physiotherapy techniques such as PNF, McKenzie and kinesiotaping, group exercise classes, and complementary workshops with dietitians and psychologists. Registration is open through the city's Health and Social Affairs Department until April 2028, with no cost to participants.
