Polish cities launch new municipal parking projects

The Łódź city administration announced that a second public‑private partnership parking facility on Wschodnia Street is ready for use, offering 226 spaces. The first nearby lot opened in May and, after an initial free‑week, will charge the same hourly rate of 5.50 zł as the adjacent garage. The city retains ownership of the land and will assume full ownership of the building after a 29‑year contract with operator IMMO Park.

In Lubartów, the mayor reported that a 104‑space lot near the parish cemetery has opened, featuring extensive greenery and a paved access road. Discussions are underway with national rail operator PKP to develop an additional park‑and‑ride facility on railway land, estimated to provide around 55 extra spaces, though financing details remain unresolved.
