Polish cities move forward with 2026/27 citizen budget projects

In the town of Elbląg, the fifteen‑edition citizen budget for 2027 has completed its formal and substantive review. Residents submitted 132 proposals; 100 were positively assessed and will be put to a vote from 31 August to 30 September 2026. An appeal window runs from 20 to 24 July, with decisions expected between 27 and 31 July.

In Bydgoszcz, the citizen verification stage for the 2026 budget began on 17 July and will remain open until 17 September. Residents can examine the projects and submit comments through an online form. All proposals are undergoing formal and substantive assessment by city departments, with citizen feedback used to refine locations, scopes and additional community needs before the planned November vote.
