Polish cities update public transport schedules for new school year

Major Polish cities, including Toruń and Warsaw, are implementing significant changes to their public transport networks as the summer holiday period ends and the new school year begins.

In Toruń, MZK is reinstating school day schedules starting September 1. This includes the return of bus lines 21, 22, 39, 80, and 152. Additionally, tram lines 2, 4, and 7 will return to Kościuszki Street following renovations, replacing the temporary ZT4 line. Frequency increases are also planned for tram line 3 and bus line ZT5, while line 10 will undergo minor adjustments to better serve hospital commuters.

In Warsaw, ZTM will implement changes starting August 31 to transition from summer schedules. Trams will return to higher frequencies during peak hours, with some lines such as 7, 9, 22, and 24 returning to their primary routes. Following major renovations in Aleje Jerozolimskie, trams will once again use the Poniatowski Bridge. While many summer track repairs are concluding, some construction work will continue on Aleja Niepodległości and Puławska Street. The Warsaw Metro (M1 and M2) will also increase service frequency during peak periods.
