Various volunteer fire departments across Croatia and Poland are celebrating significant historical milestones.

In Croatia, DVD Kajgana is marking its 100th anniversary, with a formal celebration planned for August 2026. Similarly, DVD Šćitarjevo recently commemorated a century of service, highlighting its focus on engaging local youth and maintaining community traditions.

In Poland, several units held major anniversaries. OSP Zbuczyn celebrated 110 years of existence, dating back to 1916. OSP Miałkówek marked its centenary, despite having to relocate its ceremony after a local resident intentionally plowed the original event site. OSP Rękoraj also celebrated 100 years, receiving the Golden Sign of the OSP Union of Poland. Additionally, OSP units in the Zgorzelec municipality marked 80 years of service, and OSP Bierna celebrated its 80th anniversary with the presentation of a new rescue quad and various service medals.
