Polish companies evaluate solar leasing benefits and leasing refinancing options

Polish businesses are increasingly considering photovoltaic (PV) leasing as a way to cut electricity costs by up to 30‑50%, gain tax deductions and achieve greater energy independence. State programmes such as "Mój Prąd" and "Czyste Powietrze" can be combined with leasing contracts to offset initial investments, while lease payments may be treated as operating expenses for tax purposes.

At the same time, firms are reviewing the possibility of refinancing existing leasing agreements to improve cash flow, lower overall costs or meet grant conditions that require equipment ownership. Refinancing may involve early buy‑out and transition to a loan structure, especially when modernising equipment, relocating assets abroad, or accessing EU‑funded subsidies. However, companies must weigh early‑termination fees against expected savings before proceeding.
