Polish couples honored for long-term marriage anniversaries

In October 2026, several communities in Poland held ceremonies to honor couples celebrating significant marriage milestones.

In Biłgoraj, 76 couples who married in 1975 were celebrated at the Biłgoraj Cultural Center. The jubilants were awarded Medals for Long-term Marriage, presented by the President of the Republic of Poland, in recognition of their fifty years of partnership. Local officials, including Biłgoraj Mayor Wojciech Gleń and Beata Strzałka, attended the event.

In the Bobowa municipality, a ceremony in Jankowa honored 15 couples for their Golden (50 years) and Diamond (60 years) anniversaries. The celebrations included a Holy Mass where couples renewed their marriage vows, followed by an official ceremony at the Jankowa Cultural Center. Thirteen couples received state medals for their 50th anniversaries, while two couples were recognized for 60 years of marriage. Local authorities and regional performers attended the event.
