Polish cultural calendar marks Dziady theatre anniversary and Zamość film festival

The National Theatre commemorated the ten‑year anniversary of its landmark production of Adam Mickiewicz’s "Dziady," staged originally on 10 March 2016 under the direction of Eimuntas Nekrošius. The performance, praised for its innovative reinterpretation, will be presented again on 20 May 2026 to mark its hundredth showing.

On 22 August 2026, the 14th Zamojski Film Festival "Spotkania z historią" concluded with a gala in Zamość’s Market Square featuring performances by singer Daria ze Śląska and multi‑instrumentalist Marcel Tułacz. The event celebrated the festival’s focus on historical documentary, animated and reportage film competitions.
