Polish Cybersecurity Forums Focus on City Resilience and Human Skills
The second day of the Smart City Forum featured a debate on the role of local governments in building security. Speakers including the mayor of Przemyśl, the deputy mayor of Chełm and representatives from Palo Alto Networks and Hertz New Technologies discussed threat‑monitoring systems, redundant infrastructure, data integration between municipal and national levels, citizen warning mechanisms, civic education, crisis management and tools such as city‑level CSIRT units and Urban Lab projects.
Separately, the CYBERSEC Expo & Forum will take place in Katowice on 15‑16 June. Organized as a platform for discussing the human factor in cyber defence, the event will cover topics such as NATO’s cyber‑defence partnership, disinformation and societal resilience, organisational models for combating cybercrime, emerging skill requirements for AI and cyber experts, and the pressures faced by CISO and CIO leaders. Registrations are open for participants from government, business and academia.
