Polish Defence Minister Kosiniak‑Kamysz Faces Mixed Public Ratings

A recent UCE Research poll for Onet surveyed 1,013 Polish adults aged 18‑80 on their view of Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak‑Kamysz, who has led the Ministry of Defence since 13 December 2023 amid the Russia‑Ukraine war. respondents answered between 15‑17 July 2026. Fourteen‑point‑six percent rated his performance “definitely good”, 24.9 % “rather good”, 21 % chose “neither good nor bad”, 11.7 % “rather bad”, and 16.4 % “definitely bad”. An additional 11.5 % said they could not decide.

Kosiniak‑Kamysz has also highlighted upcoming NATO‑aligned exercises in Poland with forces from France, the United Kingdom and other allies, describing them as a strong deterrent to Russia and a sign of NATO’s commitment to the eastern flank.
