Polish financial sector reports strong H1 2026 growth

The Polish financial sector showed significant growth in the first half of 2026. Investment fund management companies (TFI) reported a net profit of 763.3 million PLN, a 45.9% increase compared to the previous year. This growth outpaced the expansion of assets under management, which rose by 23.7% to 643 billion PLN. Data indicates that profit per billion PLN of assets has nearly doubled between 2022 and 2025.

In the insurance sector, the Polish Insurance Chamber reported total premiums of 47.3 billion PLN, up 7% year-on-year, with industry profits reaching 8.7 billion PLN. Life insurance saw a 12.5% increase in spending, totaling 13.6 billion PLN, driven largely by individual policies and bancassurance channels. However, the property insurance segment faced challenges, with technical results declining by 6.4% to 1.8 billion PLN, amid concerns regarding the motor insurance market.
