Polish Government Proposes Reform of the Polish Investment Zone
The Ministry of Development and Technology has drafted a law to modernise the Polish Investment Zone (Polska Strefa Inwestycji, PSI). The reform would streamline the programme by introducing electronic filing of applications and assigning the head of the National Tax Administration to assess eligibility decisions.
PSI continues the tax‑exemption model that rewards companies that invest a set amount and create a specified number of jobs, but expands the scheme from isolated special economic zones to cover the entire country. The proposal was published on 9 June 2026 and is intended to make the incentive system easier for investors to use.
If adopted, the changes could increase the attractiveness of Poland for new capital projects by reducing administrative burdens and clarifying the approval process.
