Poland hotel industry reports high occupancy and rising rates
The Polish hospitality sector experienced a strong performance in July 2026, with high hotel occupancy rates reported by the Polish Hotel Chamber (IGHP). Approximately 85% of surveyed hotels achieved occupancy levels above 50%, while 51% exceeded 70%. The leisure segment outperformed business hotels, with 92% of leisure properties reporting occupancy over 50% and 69% exceeding 70%.
Compared to July 2025, occupancy improved for 58% of all hotels. In the business segment, 63% of hotels saw year-over-year improvements. Additionally, 62% of hotels reported higher rates than the previous year, indicating a trend of rising prices alongside increased demand.
Looking ahead to the winter season, early data from Travelist.pl shows a significant surge in interest for New Year's Eve bookings. Reservations for the New Year's week are currently 17% higher than at the same time last year, with particularly high demand in mountain regions and large cities.
