Polish labor market faces stagnation and shifting recruitment trends
The Polish labor market is experiencing a period of stagnation and shifting recruitment dynamics. Przemysław Gacek, co-founder of Grupa Pracuj, notes that stagnation has persisted for approximately three years, with much of current hiring focused on replacing departing employees rather than creating new positions. This lack of new job creation is attributed to a decline in large-scale investment projects.
Simultaneously, recruitment processes are becoming more targeted and efficient as companies seek to reduce the costs associated with time and ineffective decision-making. While companies are not withdrawing from hiring en masse, there is a decreasing tolerance for high-activity, low-value processes. On the candidate side, job board data shows high volumes of activity; for instance, January 7 saw record-breaking numbers of CV submissions on platforms such as Rocket Jobs and Just Join IT.
