Radomyśl Wielki Completes €2.2 M EU‑Funded Pedestrian and Bike Infrastructure

The municipality of Radomyśl Wielki in Poland finished a 2.184 million zł (≈ €2.2 million) project funded largely by the European Union’s Sub‑Carpathian programme 2021‑2027. The investment produced a 664‑metre sidewalk along county road 1182R, a 336‑metre pedestrian path on a local road, and a 655‑metre two‑way cycle lane on Przemysłowa Street equipped with renewable‑energy‑powered LED lighting. The new facilities comply with accessibility standards, aim to boost safe walking and cycling, and support a shift toward low‑carbon transport.

The EU contribution amounted to 1.73 million zł, covering most of the costs. Local officials highlighted expected benefits such as reduced vehicle traffic, lower emissions, and improved quality of life for residents and visitors, especially those with disabilities.
