Polish local councils approve budgets, loans and examine councilor mandates

The Pomorskie Regional Assembly convened its XXIX session to vote on the 2026 budget amendment, a long‑term loan from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego to cover projected deficits through 2035, and a targeted grant for a new county road linking the Chwaszczyn junction with road 1935G. The session also addressed land sales in Redzikowo, teacher remuneration, and public‑transport improvements.

Separately, the Gorzów City Council held an extraordinary meeting to consider the expiration of mandates for eight councilors and to appoint a new member, Jarosław Baryła, from the Civic Coalition. The council also approved a 300,000‑zloty municipal grant for football club Stilon Gorzów following its promotion to the third league. Debates focused on the residency of the eight councilors and potential conflicts of interest, but the commission rejected all petitions to terminate their mandates.
