Polish lower‑league clubs launch 2026 season with friendlies and cup tournament
Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki began preparations for the 2026/27 season, conducting a series of four preseason friendly matches scheduled for 11, 15, 18 and 25 July against Hutnik Warszawa, Pelikan Łowicz, Znicz Proszków and ŁKS Łomża. The club also announced the departure of seven players – Aleks Sawicki, Leonid Otchenaschenko, Łukasz Mościcki, Adrian Olpiński, Danylo Damianenko, Piotr Piekarski and Emil Andruszkiewicz – and earlier reported changes in the club’s president and first‑team coach.
Meanwhile, the Piotrkowski Cup 2026 will take place on 25 July at the football stadium in Moszczenica. The one‑day tournament uses a 5‑plus‑1 format and is open to adult teams and youth squads aged 16 and over. Registrations close on 16 July, and the event is organised in cooperation with the Łódź regional authorities, the municipality of Moszczenica, local sports clubs and the district football association.
