Polish military qualification call targets 245,000 citizens

A new round of military qualification in Poland is set to involve roughly 245,000 individuals. The summons, issued under a regulation of the Minister of National Defence, primarily includes men of eligible age and selected groups of women with qualifications useful to the armed forces, such as medical or psychological professions. Some older persons may also be called if required by law.

Recipients must appear at the designated location and date. Failure to attend without justification can lead to fines, police‑enforced attendance, or other penalties under the Defence of the Fatherland Act. The process aims to assess fitness for service and update defence‑related records, not to constitute a direct call‑up to active duty.
