Polish Ministry of Defense launches Akademia_CYBER.MIL program

The Polish Ministry of National Defense is conducting the Akademia_CYBER.MIL project, an educational initiative designed to develop student competencies in computer science, cybersecurity, and cyberspace protection. The program integrates academic knowledge with practical expertise from IT security professionals.

The project consists of three distinct stages: synchronous e-learning training via Microsoft Teams, knowledge tests conducted on the ECSC e-learning platform, and a nationwide in-person Capture The Flag (CTF) competition. Available training modules include ‘Cyber Hygiene’, ‘Digital Exposure as an Attack Vector’, and ‘Disinformation and Information Operations in Cyberspace’.

Participation is open to Polish citizens with active student status. Institutions such as Kielce University of Technology and the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn are participating in the initiative to enhance professional development opportunities for their students in the cybersecurity sector.
