Polish Ministry of Finance reports record July bond sales
The Ministry of Finance said that in July 2026 savings bonds sold for 9.788 billion zł, the highest monthly total in three years and the strongest performance since 2022. Year‑to‑date sales reached 48.58 billion zł. Annual bonds dominated the market with a 40.5 % share (3.96 billion zł), followed by three‑year TOS papers at 21 % (2.04 billion zł) and four‑year COI bonds at 17.6 % (1.72 billion zł). Ten‑year EDO bonds accounted for 9 % of sales (0.93 billion zł). Exchanges of existing bonds made up 30.1 % of the July volume, driven by the maturity of four‑year COI issues from 2022.
Deputy State Secretary Jurand Drop highlighted that the summer period is a convenient time for individuals to place savings in Treasury instruments, even while on holiday. The report also noted modest purchases of family‑oriented bonds linked to the 800+ programme, with 125 million zł invested in July.
