Polish Ministry of Interior promises pay raises and new benefits for uniformed services

Uniformed service unions in Poland, including NSZZ Policjantów, have decided to cancel planned protests following negotiations with the Ministry of Interior and Administration. During meetings held in late October 2026, Minister Marcin Kierwiński pledged to present a systemic salary increase project for uniformed services by early December.

Additionally, the Ministry announced progress on the Military Family Card (Karta Rodziny Mundurowej). The legislative process for this act is expected to conclude in the Sejm by November 6. The card aims to provide social benefits to professional officers and their families, including railway discounts, reduced passport fees, and preferential access to healthcare services within ministry facilities.

Negotiations also addressed the structure of service rank allowances. The unions are advocating for a system where these supplements more accurately reflect an officer's professional experience and career progression.
