Polish municipal politics face scrutiny over board appointments and mayoral disputes

In Bielsko‑Biała, criticism has mounted after the city’s wholly owned company ZIAD appointed Edyta Kurczyna‑Klimosz, wife of regional official Krzysztof Klimosz, to its supervisory board. The appointment highlights perceived intertwining of family ties and political influence within local enterprises.

In Zielona Góra, opposition councilor Paweł Wysocki accused mayor Marcin Pabierowski of losing control of the city, describing the current administration as being in crisis and warning that further problems are imminent. Wysocki blamed internal party politics and alleged irregularities involving other council members for destabilising municipal governance.
