Polish municipalities host community celebrations for seniors

Local communities in Poland are hosting various celebrations dedicated to senior citizens. In Łoniowa, the village women's group ‘Włościanki’ organized a Senior Day featuring a Mass at the local parish church followed by a gathering at the Volunteer Fire Department station. During the event, the Mayor of Dębno Municipality, Wiesław Kozłowski, honored residents, including the oldest inhabitants and a couple with the longest marriage, for their contributions to the community.

In the Kutno Municipality, Senior Days commenced on October 12 with a folk music feast featuring the Leszczynianki Folk Group. Despite inclement weather necessitating a move to an indoor venue, the program includes a week of activities through October 16. Scheduled events include first aid training, healthy diet lectures, watercolor painting workshops, sewing classes, a jazz concert by Marek Kądziela, and meetings with regional historians.
