Polish municipalities keep waste collection fees steady as Krapkowice switches to new provider
The Pawłowice municipal council confirmed on 26 May that the monthly waste‑collection charge will remain unchanged in 2026, staying at 38 zł per resident (35 zł for households that compost bio‑waste). A recent tender showed that the current rate fully covers service costs, so no new resolution was required.
In the nearby commune of Krapkowice, a new waste‑management contract takes effect on 1 June 2026. The operator Remondis Opole S.A. will replace the previous provider and begins a phased rollout of new containers of various sizes, allocated according to household size and whether the dwelling uses coal for heating. Residents must transfer waste from old bins to the new ones, and access to selective‑collection points now requires proof of fee payment and a declaration of waste origin.
