Polish municipalities launch public consultations on new general plans

Local authorities in several Polish gminas have opened public consultation periods for their upcoming General Plans (plan ogólny). The mayor of Morąg announced a consultation window from 27 July to 24 August 2026, with an open meeting on 6 August and designer office hours on 6‑7 August. In Przemków, the final week of comments runs until 30 July 2026, following presentations on 13‑14 July and multiple designer‑resident sessions. Piotrków Trybunalski began its consultation on 29 July, offering an open meeting on 18 August and designer office hours on 13 and 20 August. Bytom’s city council adopted its General Plan on 27 July, which will become legally binding after a 30‑day publication period. The Gmina of Szemud completed a decision on a new 0.4 kV underground cable line on 23 July, closing the related public procedure. Mędrzechów announced a workshop on 20 August to gather stakeholder input for its 2027‑2037 development strategy. These consultations all allow residents to submit written comments electronically or in person by the stated deadlines and include public presentations and designer offices to explain draft documents.
