Polish regions receive multi‑million zloty grants for revitalisation, roads and senior support

The Warmian‑Masurian regional assembly approved more than 2.5 million zł in fully funded grants for 20 community‑driven revitalisation projects across nine municipalities, covering activities such as public‑space renewal, inter‑generational integration and youth centres.

The Warmian‑Masurian marshal’s office also launched a competition to fund 80 % of the cost of social‑housing projects that support independent living and caregiver relief for vulnerable groups.

In Lower Silesia, the Gmina Prochowice was awarded 16 836 zł under the "Active +" senior programme to expand the activities of its Active Senior Club, supporting social engagement and wellbeing of older residents.

Brzeski County in Lesser Poland secured close to 6 million zł of state co‑financing for the reconstruction of the Mokrzyska‑Radłów road and a new bridge, while the neighbouring Gmina Rzezawa received 116 834 zł for a local road repair.

Radomsko obtained 335 010 zł from the national "Opieka 75+" scheme to increase home‑care services for residents aged 75 and over.

The Gmina Jeziora Wielkie ordered the removal of four 150‑year‑old oaks deemed hazardous after fire‑risk assessments, citing safety concerns for nearby summer facilities.

"The heart of a city is its people," said Warmian‑Masurian Marshal Marcin Kuchciński of the revitalisation effort. Gmina officials also stressed that the oak removal was necessary to protect public safety, according to Justyna Pułk of the local authority.
