Polish municipalities Tłuszcz and Gliwice launch road and sidewalk upgrades

In the Gmina Tłuszcz, local authorities have signed contracts to lay a new sidewalk in the village of Jadwinin (estimated cost 40,000 zł) and to modernise a 200‑metre stretch of Zienkiewiczów Street in the settlement of Jaźwie (about 38,000 zł). The projects aim to improve pedestrian safety and driving comfort for residents.

In the city of Gliwice, the mayor signed agreements for two major road works worth more than 47 million zł. One contract covers a comprehensive reconstruction of a 3‑kilometre section of Chorzowska Street, including new carriageways, drainage, sidewalks, bike lanes, bus bays, lighting and greenery (38.4 million zł, 26‑month schedule). The second contract funds the conversion of the Bojkowska‑Rolników intersection into a four‑lane roundabout, together with upgrades to adjacent streets, pedestrian amenities and a green noise‑reduction wall (8.8 million zł, 13‑month schedule). Both initiatives are intended to boost traffic safety, comfort and overall infrastructure quality.
