Polish municipality spends 300,000 zł on summer school upgrades in Kutno

The Gmina Kutno local government is undertaking summer renovation projects across several primary schools. The largest work will be carried out at the primary school in Byszew, where thermal modernization, drainage improvements, and corridor repairs are planned at a cost of about 150,000 zł. Additional refurbishments include toilet upgrades at the primary school in Wroczyny (≈ 80,000 zł) and a new secretariat at the primary school in Gołębowie Nowe (≈ 60,000 zł). In total, the commune earmarks just under 300,000 zł for the upgrades, aiming to provide better learning conditions for students when schools reopen in September.

Separately, Polish teachers are set to receive a record vacation allowance this year, with full‑time staff entitled to a gross amount of 2,943.23 zł (about 2,590 zł net). The payment is granted automatically under the Teacher Card legislation and applies regardless of seniority or rank, while part‑time teachers will receive a proportionate share.
