Polish music festivals showcase contemporary and classical works

The Darłowo Festival will feature the Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii Koszalińskiej conducted by Tadeusz Wicherek, joined by celebrated Polish song poet Elżbieta Adamik. The concert marks Adamik’s 50‑year artistic career and 70th birthday, includes a three‑member jazz trio, and is scheduled for 2 July 2026 at the town square, free of charge but with limited seating; inclement weather will move the event indoors.

Meanwhile, Warsaw’s AżTak Festiwal, organized by the Fundacja Sfera Harmonii and Hashtag Ensemble, returns for its fifth edition with a theme of obsession. The program runs from 25 June through early July, divided into three phases—"Impuls", "Amok" and "Wyczerpanie"—and features concerts, performances, visual art installations, and the world premiere of Tomasz Prasqual’s mini‑opera "only Love can break your Heart" on 3‑4 July at TR Warszawa. The festival emphasizes contemporary music, interdisciplinary collaborations, and offers free admission for most events.
