Polish New Left leader Włodzimierz Czarzasty calls for coalition with Party Razem

At a briefing in Olsztyn, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, leader of the New Left (Nowa Lewica), said his "dream is consolidation of the left for the elections" and expressed a desire to run together with Party Razem and professor Joanna Senyszyn. He noted that any agreement would ultimately depend on the parties and parliamentary clubs.

Czarzasty voiced doubts about Razem’s willingness, pointing to the party’s past votes on lifting the immunity of Sławomir Mentzen and approving the detention of Zbigniew Ziobro. He also expressed surprise at Razem’s cooperation with the Confederation and PiS, stating that the New Left would not join such alliances.

He highlighted achievements of his own party, including introducing a widow’s pension, building rental housing, the "Active Parent" program, in‑vitro fertilisation support and reform of the State Labour Inspectorate, claiming the New Left has passed 18 laws and could add another ten with Razem. The remarks were presented as his personal opinion, not a definitive party decision.
