Polish Organ Music Festivals Launch in Zakopane and Subcarpathia

The 25th International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music opened in Zakopane on 11 July at the National Sanctuary of Our Lady Fatima. Organized by the Zakopane City Office with support from the Małopolskie regional authority, the festival features free concerts through 1 August, including an organ recital by Professor Witold Zalewski and performances of works by Buxtehude, Bach, Franck and Polish composers.

Meanwhile, the Subcarpathian Organ Festival runs from 11 July to 16 August, presenting 13 free concerts in venues across Rzeszów, Jarosław, Kańczuga, Ropczyce, Niebylce, Rudnik nad Sanem, Sędziszów Małopolski and Lutcza. The event is organized by the Foundation ARS PRO ARTE, funded by the Subcarpathian Voivodeship and the Rzeszów municipal budget, and is directed by Professor Marek Stefański, who founded the 36‑year‑old festival.
