Poland launches national campaign against child violence

The national social campaign ‘Dzieciństwo bez przemocy’ (Childhood without Violence) is currently underway across Poland, running from early October until November 19, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Children. The initiative focuses on education, prevention, and providing support for victims of both domestic and peer violence.

In various regions, including Warmia-Masuria and Silesia, efforts include mobile assistance points and workshops. These initiatives aim to raise awareness that violence extends beyond physical abuse to include psychological harm such as shouting, humiliation, exclusion, and cyberbullying.

Religious and social organizations, including the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland, have joined the call for action, emphasizing that preventing violence requires a collaborative effort between families, schools, and religious institutions. Local police departments are also participating by conducting educational sessions for students regarding the legal consequences of cyberbullying and peer aggression.
