Polish Parish Receives Funding and Holds Services as County Hosts Health Screening Picnic
The parish in Biecz announced a 50% grant of 8,610 zł for mycological research, along with various liturgical schedules and community activities through June. The announcement also noted a 4,700 zł collection for a parishioner in Wapniska and ongoing fundraising for the Church of Divine Providence in Warsaw.
In the same county, a free health and ecological fair was held on 14 June in the municipal park, offering mammography, hearing and bone density tests. Participants could also have skin checks; a specialist warned, “If the analyzer lights up red, the person should see a dermatologist promptly,” and recommended daily use of SPF 50 sunscreen.
Both events reflect local initiatives aimed at supporting community wellbeing and cultural life in the region.
