Polish Parishes Celebrate Saint James Feast and Jubilee 2026

On 25 July 2026 the Parish of St. James the Apostle in Brzesko held a solemn feast, featuring a homily by Rev. Ryszard Stanisław Nowak, a procession with the parish botafumeiro, prayers for the town and the distribution of medals to community groups that helped after the previous year’s flood.

In Krosnowice, the 700‑year anniversary of the same patron’s parish was marked with special papal spiritual privileges. Pope Leo XIV granted the faithful a plenary indulgence from 25 July 2026 to 25 July 2027, and Bishop Marek Mendyka of Świdnica administered a papal blessing. The decree also allows those unable to attend in person, including the elderly and sick, to receive the indulgence through remote participation.
