Polish pilgrimages in June 2026 mark religious and community milestones
On 27 June 2026, a parish choir group from Sanok travelled to Leżajsk in southeastern Poland for a thank‑giving pilgrimage. The visit included a Mass before the image of Our Lady of Consolation, a concert on the basilica’s historic organ and a tour of the town’s cultural sites.
A week earlier, on 20 June 2026, a group of about 60 people with disabilities and their volunteers from Kielce and the surrounding county made a pilgrimage to the birthplace of Pope John Paul II in Wadowice and to the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Łagiewniki. Organized by Senator Krzysztof Słoń to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the “Niepełnosprawni Plus” association, the trip featured visits to exhibition spaces, prayer sessions and a communal rosary with thousands of pilgrims.
Both pilgrimages highlighted local religious devotion, community solidarity and the role of faith‑based activities in Polish civil life.
