Polish police and TV Puls launch senior fraud-prevention campaign #ZnamTeNumery
Police officers from Kraków’s Police Commissioner’s Office addressed senior citizens, especially retired teachers, about common scams such as "legend" fraud, offering practical advice on avoiding financial and personal data theft. The briefing highlighted safe navigation of public spaces and recent pedestrian traffic rule changes.
The same anti-fraud effort was extended nationwide through the #ZnamTeNumery campaign, a joint initiative of TV Puls and the Polish National Police. The third edition involved schoolchildren, who helped raise awareness among families and competed in a contest. Pupils from MSP1 im. Powstańców Śląskich in Knurow won for their creative work promoting senior safety, underscoring intergenerational cooperation in protecting older adults from scams.
