Polish police seize drugs, arrest vandals and dismantle fraud rings in nationwide operations

Police forces across Poland carried out a series of operations targeting illegal drugs, property damage, financial fraud and other crimes. In Elbląg officers uncovered about 188 g of amphetamine and mephedrone hidden in a freezer, leading to charges that could bring a ten‑year prison term. In Gostyń a teenager was arrested for vandalising a hospital and a nearby fuel station, facing up to five years in prison. Gdynia police detained a 47‑year‑old who stole a bank card and withdrew 1 600 zł from an ATM. Szczecin detectives seized narcotics from four suspects and arrested two drivers under the influence. Łódź authorities reportedly detained a suspect in a brutal assault on a 39‑year‑old man. In Śrem two wanted men were taken into custody for drug‑related offenses. Warsaw’s anti‑fraud unit captured two men linked to a BLIK‑type scam that impersonated bank employees. Separate cases involved a motorbike theft in Kleszczów, a violent attack on children in Rozbórz Długi, and a corruption investigation in Opole that resulted in the arrest of a doctor and a staff member. These actions reflect a coordinated effort to enforce the law and protect public safety.
