Polish police arrest suspects in scooter, bike and car thefts in Silesian region
Police in the Pszczyna district arrested a 20‑year‑old man suspected of a series of thefts since May, including eight electric scooters, a Fiat Seicento, a bicycle and an electric bike valued at nearly 18,000 zł. He faced 11 charges, with officers recovering two scooters and a bike, while the remainder of the stolen items is still being investigated. The suspect is also under a driving ban and will report to police three times a week.
In Racibórz, officers detained a 35‑year‑old resident accused of stealing a school‑yard bicycle worth about 2,000 zł in mid‑June. The thief attempted to conceal the crime by repainting the bike, but police recovered the vehicle and charged him with theft. Both cases underscore local law‑enforcement efforts against property crimes in the region.
