Polish police confiscate illegal cigarettes and e‑products worth over 1.9 million zł

On 8 May, police units from the Nowy Targ county command, the Małopolskie Customs and Tax Office and the border guard conducted coordinated raids in Rabka‑Zdrój, Kęty and Nowa Wieś. They seized thousands of illegal e‑cigarettes, e‑liquids and heated‑tobacco devices lacking Polish excise marks, plus cash of about 70 k zł and €1 000. Preliminary estimates place the loss to the state at roughly 250 k zł.

In Radom, the Economic Crime Unit of the municipal police uncovered more than 50 000 packs of untaxed cigarettes without Polish tax stamps. The estimated unpaid excise duty exceeds 1.7 million zł. The suspected dealer, a 46‑year‑old resident, faces criminal‑tax charges and possible imprisonment.
