Police officers of the Katowice City Command seized close to one kilogram of narcotics, including about 800 g of amphetamine, more than 150 g of marijuana and PCP, from a 36‑year‑old resident of the Brynów district. The suspect was taken to the Katowice‑West District Prosecutor’s Office and faces up to ten years in prison for possession of large quantities of illegal drugs.

In a separate operation in Łęczyca, officers of a nearby County Command raided a garage belonging to a 33‑year‑old man and uncovered roughly 22,000 cigarettes and 20 kg of tobacco without Polish excise markings.
