Polish police crack down on crime in Lower Silesia, closing illegal gambling sites in Legnica and arresting a thief in L

In Legnica, police from the Economic Crime Unit, cooperating with the Regional Customs and Tax Office, carried out an operation that shut down several illegal gambling venues. Authorities seized eight gaming machines, confiscated related equipment and detained seven individuals suspected of running the unlicensed gambling points.

In the nearby city of Lubin, detectives from the County Criminal Department arrested a 24‑year‑old man accused of a dozen theft offences, including the stealing of a high‑value electric scooter. The suspect has been placed in custody pending further court proceedings. Both actions are part of an ongoing effort by Polish law‑enforcement agencies to combat organized crime and protect local communities in the Lower Silesian region.
