Polish police crackdown nets 89 arrests in massive Warsaw operation

On 30 July, the Warsaw police launched the "Poszukiwany" operation, deploying 655 officers who checked 672 addresses across the capital and surrounding areas. The one‑day raid resulted in 89 arrests, including 11 individuals pursued under active warrants and 78 detained on court summons or location orders. Among those taken into custody was a person listed in the Schengen Information System and a missing individual was located.

Earlier in the same period, police units from Legionowo carried out a series of targeted arrests, detaining dozens of wanted persons ranging from thieves to escapees from youth facilities. The coordinated effort highlighted the police’s focus on tracking down individuals who evade the justice system, demonstrating that no safe haven exists for fugitives within Poland.
