Polish police detail several traffic collisions in Łowicz, Kompina and Tychy
Police in the Łowicz district recorded two separate road collisions over the weekend of 4–5 July 2026. On 4 July, a 19‑year‑old driver of a Fiat failed to keep a safe distance and rear‑ended a 52‑year‑old driver’s Opel on national road 14; both were sober and the Fiat driver was fined and penalised with points. The next day, a 39‑year‑old woman driving a Chevrolet ignored right‑of‑way rules and collided with a Volkswagen driven by a 22‑year‑old man at the intersection of Aleja Legionów Polskich and national road 92 in Kompina; she also received a fine and penalty points.
Separately, the Tychy city police are investigating a series of hit‑and‑run collisions that occurred between April and June 2026. Incidents include an unidentified driver striking a parked Hyundai I30 on 24 April, a Jaecoo on 22 June, a Volkswagen on 27 April, a Volvo on 16 June, and a vehicle damaged by an unknown object on the same day. In each case the driver left the scene. Police are requesting witnesses and any information that could help identify the perpetrators.
