Polish police address spate of crimes including senior fraud, thefts and assaults

Police investigations in Poland this week have uncovered a range of criminal incidents. In Sochaczew County, a senior woman was defrauded out of 100,000 zł after scammers pretended to be a doctor and demanded payment for a fake Ebola‑related vaccine. The case was reported to the local police, who are urging older citizens to be cautious.

In Kłodzko, a 16‑year‑old girl was detained after stealing collectible figurines worth over 1,500 zł from a shop; the stolen items were recovered and the youth will face a family‑court proceeding. Separate assaults were reported in Lipinki (Gorlice County), where a 21‑year‑old man and a 20‑year‑old woman were arrested for threatening a 14‑year‑old with an object resembling a firearm and stealing his electric scooter, and in Bielsko‑Biała, where four young men aged 19‑20 were caught after beating four people in the city centre.

Other notable crimes include a brutal domestic attack in Opole, where a 47‑year‑old man was arrested for attempting to murder his partner by setting her on fire, resulting in severe injuries, and a farm accident in Kaliszkowice Ołobockie where a 34‑year‑old farmer was gravely injured after being gored by six bulls. These incidents illustrate a varied pattern of violent and property crimes across the country.
