Polish police detain suspects in Gdańsk shop robbery and drunken tractor theft

Police in Gdańsk arrested a 35‑year‑old man accused of assaulting a store guard with a net and committing a series of thefts of cosmetics and perfume between April and June, with total losses estimated at over 7,600 zł. He faces robbery and aggravated theft charges that could carry up to 15 years in prison.

In a separate incident in the Lesser Poland region, officers stopped a 41‑year‑old man who had stolen a farm tractor and was driving it while heavily intoxicated, registering more than three promille of alcohol. The driver also ignored a court‑imposed driving ban. He was taken into custody pending a court decision.
