Polish police dismantle drug gang near Krakow and arrest thieves who robbed a 78‑year‑old

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBŚP) arrested eight members of an organized drug gang operating around Krakow, including the towns of Skawina, Niepołomice, Wieliczka and Gdów. The suspects, led by two brothers, were found with amphetamine, MDMA, mephedrone, methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine and a cannabis cultivation site. They face up to 20 years in prison, and the seized material has been handed over for forensic analysis.

In a separate incident, police in Aleksandrów captured two men suspected of a bold theft from a 78‑year‑old resident near the local PKS bus station. Surveillance footage helped identify the perpetrators, and part of the stolen cash, ID and clothing was recovered. The suspects have been charged with especially audacious theft and face up to eight years in prison.
