Polish police fine teens for dangerous scooter and car stunts

Police in Olsztyn intervened after four teenagers rode electric scooters inside the Galeria Warmińska mall, causing damage to a lift and endangering shoppers. The teens ignored the mall’s ban on scooters, one rode without a helmet, and two damaged the lift floor. Officers documented the violations and handed the youths over to their parents, with the case referred to family court.

In Działdowo, police cited two separate incidents of reckless driving on municipal parking lots. An 18‑year‑old drifted a BMW near other vehicles, receiving a 2,500 zł fine, 12 penalty points and a three‑month license suspension. A 20‑year‑old drove a Citroën with two passengers on the hood, earning a 1,500 zł fine and 10 penalty points. Authorities warned that parking areas and public roads are not venues for stunts and emphasized the safety risks of such behaviour.
