Polish police log thousands of traffic violations and summer patrols in Puck county
From July 1‑7, 2026, additional police patrols operated in the Puck county coastal area, conducting 882 legitimacy checks, 384 interventions and inspecting 164 vehicles. Officers seized ten vehicle registration documents, four driver’s licences and arrested five offenders while identifying four wanted persons. The patrols focused on alcohol checks, domestic incidents and public‑order violations to protect the influx of tourists during the peak season.
In a separate regional operation named NURD (Niechronieni uczestnicy ruchu drogowego), police documented 1,219 speed violations near pedestrian crossings, 235 driver offenses and 20 cyclist offenses. The action highlighted recurring dangerous behaviours such as overtaking on sidewalks and failure to yield to pedestrians, and urged road users to exercise caution and wear reflective gear.
